Dissertation
Functional Health Status Among Older Women: The Impact of Breast Cancer and Social Environment.

Dissertation focuses on the following:
1) Impact of breast cancer on multiple dimensions of functional health status among women with incident breast cancer as compared to healthy women.

2) Relative impact of social integration, medical treatment, and prognostic variables on changes in functional health among women with breast cancer.

3) Association between living arrangements, social networks, and changes in physical function, vitality, and mental health in a population of community-dwelling women.
