1997 Content analysed promotional media coverage of the 1996 Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. Race For the Cure Evaluation: Media Summary was presented to the Oregon Chapter of Susan B. Komen Foundation.

1997 Gelmon, S, Brown, E. and Sobel, J.: "The Educational Impact of the Race for the Cure: The Portland Experience. A report to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.

1997 Developed student-community partnerships. Designed media campaign messages for the Healthy Communities Organization using curent communication theory and methods.

1995 Examined questions and analysed data regarding disability and quality of life issues among Oregonians (with Claire Segawa and Joyce Grant Worley) drawn from the Oregon version of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Survey. Numerous problems with the data and the ordering of the questions on the survey were revealed. Results were presented to a small group of researchers at the Oregon Health Division in Spring 1995.

1993 Designed and constructed evaluation components for the summer health education project known as "The Health Club" at University Park Recreation Center. Included in this work were 3 unique survey forms designed to solicit student evaluations of speakers, student involvement in projects, and health educator assessment of classes. Report prepared by student interns.

1993 Designed and constructed pre-and post-evaluation surveys conducted to assess the effectiveness of peer based education in studying HIV prevention. Survey questions were derived from an assortment of previously analysed questions used in past studies reported in the literature. Report to CDC.
